What will the psychologist be doing? |
|
There are several members of your team; the physician, psychologist, embryologist, nurses, lawyer, donor, surrogate and parents. Each plays a different roll. What we will be doing together will be different as well - depending on the part you play, your needs and the program we develop together. A great deal of experience along with professional standards and the guidelines established by organizations such as the American Society of Reproductive Medicine create the basis of the process. It may take the form of a clinical interview and psychological testing as well as counseling and support sessions. After our sessions together, a great deal of time is then taken to review notes and analyze results. Exhaustive reports are prepared, often exceeding 25 pages (depending on the program and circumstance). These are then submitted to you and your physician. Further consultation with the participants and support meetings are sometimes called for. A child transforms a couple into a family. Nothing is more precious
than that little baby. The greatest good most of us will ever achieve
is that of being a good parent.?.The greatest gift may be helping someone
else touch that dream. I would be very happy to help you make your dream
a reality. |
