Dr. Marnella holds degrees in both Social Ecology (with a specialization
in human behavior) and Clinical Psychology. She is a member of the American
and California Psychological Associations, the American Society for Reproductive
Medicine, as well as holding membership in the Pacific Coast Reproductive
Society and Resolve. She is author of the AMarnella Parent Donor Comparison
Scale@ (MPDCS) used in comparing the cognitive and personality traits
of ovum/sperm donors and prospective parents. Dr. Marnella is a licensed,
practicing Clinical Psychologist. She has had many years of experience
in the fields of child and family counseling, infertility issues, assessment
and support. Her career history includes having worked with and been
advisor to school districts and government agencies. She has taught professional
level classes, as well as regularly mentoring peers and interns on issues
of evaluation, testing and assessment. Her interest in the field of Assisted
Reproduction is the deeply held result of both professional and personal
experience. She provides ongoing assessment, consultation and screening
of donors, surrogates and intended parents for several well known assisted
reproductive agencies, medical fertility clinics and independent assisted
reproductive arrangements.
